These terms cover your use of the deadyet? app and its text message and phone call alerts, provided by The Flying Chicken LLC ("we", "us"). By using deadyet? or accepting an invitation to be a contact, you agree to them.
What deadyet? does
deadyet? watches for activity your iPhone records and, if it stops for longer than the limit you set and you don't respond to a check-in, alerts the contacts who agreed to hear from us.
What deadyet? is not
deadyet? depends on things outside our control, including your phone's battery, settings and connectivity, Apple Health, Apple's notification service, mobile carriers and Twilio. Alerts can be late, and in some cases may not be sent or received at all. Don't rely on deadyet? as your only way of making sure someone checks on you.
Your responsibilities
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Only add contacts who know you and would want to be told. They must accept your invitation themselves before they receive anything.
- Keep your settings and contacts up to date, and pause monitoring when you know you'll be inactive.
- Don't use deadyet? to harass anyone or to send messages to people who haven't agreed to them.
Text messages and calls
Contacts receive safety alerts only after opting in. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help at any time. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See how text messages work.
Privacy

No warranty
deadyet? is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any alert will be delivered.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Flying Chicken LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any harm resulting from an alert that was delayed, not sent, or not received. Our total liability for any claim relating to deadyet? is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending your use
You can stop using deadyet? and delete your account at any time from the app. Contacts can opt out at any time by replying STOP. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll let you know in the app. Continuing to use deadyet? means you accept the updated terms.
